Who We Are
‘80s Ice is an independent, family-owned Domestic Limited Liability Company (LLC) founded in 2023 by Evie Paserba and Madi McGarrah. We are two students from Butler Senior High School that are looking to hold jobs while maintaining demanding scholastic and extracurricular schedules. Our business model is simple. Serve authentic Hawaiian-style shave ice while creating a fun and memorable ‘80s-style experience for our customers.
Our company is based in Butler, Pennsylvania and is registered with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We operate out of a custom-built 7 ft x 12 ft mobile shave ice trailer that has been licensed for use by both the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and the Allegheny County Health Department. We have the capability to host almost any event, large or small, such as sporting functions, business functions, school functions, birthdays, weddings, graduations, and more.
While we’re excited to experience firsthand the challenges of running a business, we’re more excited for the opportunity to give back to our Butler community. Our pledge is to donate at least 10% of our sales to the Butler Area School District Kids’ Weekend Backpack Program. Please see our Giving Back page for more information.
